New Law at Azerbaijan Customs Borders came into force on November 1 2014

The Regulation “On Declaring Goods and Vehicles Transported across Azerbaijan Customs Borders” came into force

The Regulation was approved in accordance with the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan Decree No. 263 of 22 July 2014 and was published on 1 August 2014. The Regulation sets out the following provisions:

  • required customs-related documents and information and the rules for their submission
  • declaration of goods forms
  • rules for submitting additional, temporary and incomplete declarations
  • instances where customs declarations or re-export notifications are not required
  • rules for amending, recalling or terminating customs declarations

Customs declarations of goods brought to Azerbaijan customs territory shall be submitted no later than 15 days after the presentation of goods to the customs body. The Regulation came into force on 1 November 2014.
