A feeder vessel chartered by a Turkish forwarder has delivered a cargo of containers to the port of Odessa for the first time since February 2022.The vessel, T-Mare, operated by Majoris Trading, made its maiden call to Chernomorsk on April 3, returning to Constanta the same day. Ukrainian analysts anticipate a surge in container transshipment, shifting from limited Danube ports. Deputy Minister Yuriy Vaskov stated Odessa's readiness to resume container operations gradually, starting with feeder vessels. Akkon Lines and Maersk are the primary container operators along the Danube, expected to contribute to feeder transportation development.
