Traffic movement trought  at Mskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi is forbidden

According to the information provided by the Roads Department of Georgia last night Landslide hits Dariali Gorge, as a result a traffic movement has been forbidden through Mskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi highway. The Minister for Regional Development and Infrastructure as well as Roads Department of Georgia had visited the Dariali Gorge to study the situation there:

Kazbegi customs checkpoint area and nearby buildings have been flooded, heavy equipment and all working materials are damaged. Due to natural disaster Kazbegi customs checkpoint has stopped working.

Currently, intensive cleaning activities are being implemented and as informed the traffic movement will be restored about in 2 weeks.
