Representatives of various government agencies and business associations attended the event which was conducted under the patronage of the German Federal Government and the Government of Georgia. The forum was dedicated to Georgian-German economic relations and investment opportunities.

Due to heavy storm (gale: 4-5 points) previous days port Poti was closed for navigation of vessels from 3:30pm December of 30th until 8:30am January of 1st, from 3:00pm January of 2nd until 6:40am January of 3rd and from 3:10pm January of 4th until 4:30am January of 5th.

Forum was attended by the President of the Republic of Latvia Mr. Andris Bērziņš, The Minister of Economics of the Republic of Latvia Ms. Dana Reizniece-Ozola, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Mr. Giorgi Kvirikashvili and Prime-Minister of Georgia Mr. Irakli Gharibashvili.
